Sample policy: edit before using
Privacy policy
This is sample wording to start from, not legal advice. Change it to match what your store actually does, and have it checked if you’re unsure.
This page explains what information we collect when you visit our website or get in touch, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you send us a message, ask for an appointment, or sign up for an event, we keep the details you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, and message. We use them to reply to you and to run the event or appointment you asked about.
Like most websites, ours is run by a hosting company that records basic details of each visit, such as your IP address, your browser, and the pages you open, to keep the site working and secure.
Cookies and analytics
The site itself doesn’t need cookies. It remembers your answer to our cookie notice in your browser.
If we use website analytics or advertising tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or the Meta Pixel, they set cookies to count visits and show us which pages are popular, and the companies behind them receive details of your visit under their own privacy policies. Where the law requires it, these tools load only after you agree in the cookie notice. You can change your answer at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
If a page has a music or video player, such as one from YouTube, Spotify, or SoundCloud, it loads only when you press play. That service then receives details of your visit and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the services that help us run the store and this website, such as our web host and email provider, and when the law requires us to.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights too. To ask, get in touch using the details on our contact page.
